The city of Toronto divides Lawrence Park into two geographies, North and South. The Lawrence Park North encompasses the neighbourhoods better known as Bedford Park, Wanless Park and Teddington Park.
Bedford Park, loosely defined as the area north of Lawrence, south of Old Orchard, west of Avenue and East of Ronan, has a good mix of detached and semi-detached homes and is geared toward families with young children. It has an excellent selection of public, private and separate schools, many parkettes and playgrounds, a community centre, a library, and convenient access to Toronto's transit system.
Wanless Park, located immediately east, between Ronan and Mildenhall and north of Lawrence, is also a popular family neighbourhood. The main attraction here is Wanless Park, located right in the centre of the neighbourhood. Wanless Park residents enjoy the convenience of being able to walk to all the local amenities including the Bedford Park Public School and Community Centre, the George Locke Public Library, Yonge Street shopping and the Lawrence subway station.
Finally, there is the neighbourhood of Teddington Park, one of the smallest and most exclusive districts in Toronto, which is bordered by Yonge Street to the west, Riverview Drive to the east, Golfdale to the south and Doncliffe to the north. Here you will find the exclusive Rosedale Golf Club, the Wanless Park Tennis Club and not so far away is the Don Valley Granite Club immediately east at Bayview Avenue.
With some of the best public and private schools in Toronto, including John Wanless PS, Bedford Park PS, Toronto French School and Havergal, as well as large homes, big lots, mature trees, convenient shopping and easy transportation downtown, it’s easy to see why Canadian Business magazine named Lawrence Park North the wealthiest postal code in Canada.
